Leading kids’ entertainment specialist, CAKE has been appointed as worldwide distributor for kids’ animation Tom & The Slice of Bread with Strawberry Jam & Honey. The 52 x 5’ series for children aged three-to-six years old will be taken to this year’s MIPTV market.
Tom & The Slice of Bread with Strawberry Jam & Honey is a Studio Film Bilder, SWR, BR and WDR co-production. The series, created by award-winning director Andreas Hykade (Love & Theft, The Bunjies, Ring of Fire, The Runt), takes place in a magical world where the everyday stands side-by-side with the extraordinary. The eponymous Tom only has one thing on his mind – a delicious slice of bread with strawberry jam and honey. On his quest to find this tasty treat, Tom is forever running into new characters and situations along the way; every time he has a good idea, he stumbles headfirst into a new adventure.
Already a huge success in Germany, Tom & The Slice of Bread with Strawberry Jam & Honey has been airing on KI.KA since December 2005 where it has enjoyed an average 66% market share of the daily prime-time target group.
