LOS ANGELES, CA -- Kabillion, the Emmy Award-winning digital kids’ entertainment network, announced the addition of a new TV series featuring one of the world’s most well known brands, the iconic Cabbage Patch Kids, to the Kabillion Girls Rule! network beginning in August.

Since their phenomenal introduction in 1983, over 124 million Cabbage Patch Kids have been adopted and loved by generations of fans worldwide. The lovable Cabbage Patch Kids will debut on Kabillion Girls Rule, introducing the longstanding classic brand to a new generation of fans. The Cabbage Patch Kids series will feature a variety of entertainment formats, including CGI animation, live action and puppetry.

“We are proud to add Xavier Roberts’ and Original Appalachian Artworks’ Cabbage Patch Kids to our roster of iconic brands. On Kabillion Girls Rule On Demand, Cabbage Patch Kids entertainment will reach over 40 million households through Comcast, Time Warner, Charter and other local MSOs,” said Deb Pierson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Kabillion. “With new characters, great songs and lots of humor, our viewers are sure to catch the Cabbage Patch Kids craze.”

The new entertainment series is produced by Galen Walker, best-known for the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and current producer on the upcoming live action TMNT feature from Paramount. “The Cabbage Patch Kids have been a positive influence on the lives of millions. So many adults have fond childhood memories from this franchise, and we look forward to creating new memories for the next generation,” said Walker. We are excited to be producing new CPK entertainment for the Kabillion Network, which I believe is the future format of kids’ television!"

The Kabillion platform, which launched in January 2007, offers high-quality animated and live-action kids’ entertainment and is available both as Free TV Video On Demand and a free online broadband site. In 2011, the platform was expanded to include Kabillion Girls Rule!, the first and only Free TV Video On Demand network for girls.
