BVITV Promotes 4 in European Sales

Buena Vista International Television (BVITV) has promoted four senior members of its sales teams in Europe. Carsten Fink, based in Munich, Damian Newton, in London and Francesca Tauriello, in Rome, have been promoted to vice president, sales & distribution, German-speaking Europe, vice president, sales, Pay TV/New Technologies and executive director, sales, Northern Mediterranean markets respectively. Tatjana Vucanovic has also been promoted, to executive director, sales, Central & Eastern Europe.

Fink, who joined BVITV in 2000, was previously BVITVs exec director, sales & distribution, German-speaking Europe. Fink spearheads sales for such territories as Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland.

Before this promotion, Newton was exec director, sales, Pay TV/New Technologies. He will lead BVITVs pay TV activity, and is responsible for the on-demand, new media and new technology strategies. Newton works across all territories in Europe, Middle East and Africa, alongside local sales teams.

Tauriello, who joined BVITV in 2001, was previously exec director, sales, Northern Mediterranean markets. She leads sales in markets such as Italy, Greece, Turkey, Italian-speaking Switzerland, Cyprus and Malta.

Vucanovic, who joined BVITV in 2002, moves up from director, sales, Central & Eastern Europe. She and her team drive licensing activity in such rapidly-growing markets as Russia, Slovakia, Romania and Poland.

Fink, Newton, Tauriello and Vucanovic will continue to report to Alison Homewood, vp, sales EMEA, BVITV.

BVITV distributes more than 30,000 hours of programming, and services the distribution of programming from the Jetix portfolio, to some 1,300 broadcasters across 240 territories worldwide. BVITV also licenses award-winning ABC News programming.
