VARIETY reports that Threshold Entertainment has sued Warner Bros. Pictures for alleged breach of contract over development of a third MORTAL KOMBAT movie.

In the lawsuit filed in state court in Los Angeles, the studio was accused of "failing to cooperate and respond to Threshold and seeking to cut out Threshold."

Threshold argues that it holds property ownership of the third installment via agreements it made with Midway Games.
