Twilight Stays On Top At Box Office

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON remained the highest-grossing film over its second week in theaters, Nov. 27-29, earning $42.9 million for Summit. THE BLIND SIDE from Warner Bros. came in second for its second week straight, earning $40.1 million.

Sony's 2012 earned $17.7 million and the #3 slot for its third week. OLD DOGS from Buena Vista came in at #4, raking in $16.9 million for its opening weekend.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL raked in $15.8 million for Buena Vista and the #5 spot. NINJA ASSASSIN claimed the #6 spot for Warner Bros., earning $13.1 million.

PLANET 51 from Sony raked in $10.2 million and the #7 spot. PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL PUSH BY SAPPHIRE raked in $7.1 million for Lionsgate and the #8 spot.

THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX collected almost $7 million and the #9 spot for Fox. Finally, THE ROAD rounded out the top ten with $1.5 million.
