Twilight Gets Blind Sided at Box Office

THE BLIND SIDE from Warner Bros. knocked THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON out of first place, taking in $20.4 million over its third week in theaters, Dec. 4-6. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON from Summit, raked in $15.7 million.

BROTHERS from Lionsgate came in #3, earning $9.7 million for its first week. A CHRISTMAS CAROL raked in $7.5 million for Buena Vista and the #4 spot.

OLD DOGS from Buena Vista came in at #5, raking in $6.9 million for its second weekend. ARMORED earned $6.6 million and the #6 spot. Sony's 2012 earned $6.6 million and the #7 spot.

NINJA ASSASSIN claimed the #8 spot for Warner Bros., earning $5 million. PLANET 51 from Sony raked in $4.3 million and the #9 spot. Finally, EVERYBODY'S FINE rounded out the top ten with $4 million for Miramax.
