TV-Loonland has signed a
seven-year licensing agreement with Russia's Nox Music, providing the
Moscow-based company with video, television and merchandising rights
to 963 half-hour series episodes. The new agreement applies to the
territories of CIS/Russia, the Ukraine and the Baltic States of
Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and involved productions from
TV-Loonland's own studios as well as subsidiaries Sunbow
Entertainment and Telemagination. Nox was founded by Iosif
Prigozhin, who also founded ORT-Records and ORT-Videos. ORT is the
leading Pan-Russian TV station. According to TV-Loonland CEO Peter
Volkle, "Nox Music is an exceptionally successful and vibrant company
in Russia, which constitutes a vast market that is just now beginning
to develop. We are happy to have found such an outstanding partner
in this attractive territory, which we are entering with our programs
for the very first time."
