Televix Named International Television Distribution Agent for Dos y Dos

Press Release from Dos y Dos

San Diego, CA – Televix Entertainment has been named as the worldwide Television Distribution Agent for Dos y Dos, the world’s only Latino live-action television series recorded in Spanish that teaches English to preschool children. With an engaging, talented and fresh live-action cast, Dos y Dos incorporates music, dance and vibrant colors to encourage children to speak both Spanish and English.

Through its appointment by the Latin American Multimedia Corporation, Televix Entertainment will work to secure global broadcast licensing opportunities for television networks and stations throughout the world. Televix will also offer Format Rights to select territories.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Dos y Dos to be distributed by a well respected leader in the television industry”, says Dos y Dos Executive Producer and CEO, Joe Lizura. “Hugo Rose and his team understand the market that Dos y Dos has entered better than anyone out there today”.

Dos y Dos is the world’s only preschool show that is recorded in Spanish with several words and phrases spoken in English, allowing children 2 thru 5 to be entertained as they learn two languages.  The premise of every episode revolves around solving “the riddle of the day.”

Combining singing and dancing, the characters  Sofia, Fernando, Adriana and Andres find five giant puzzle pieces, which solve the riddle, revealing the topic or theme of the show for that day.

Along the way, Dos y Dos teaches fundamental core values like sharing, helping, and the importance of teamwork.  Every show has music videos performed by the cast in Spanish, and when “Foto Joe” arrives to share photos of his world travels, everyone gets to sing a song in English.  As the show comes to an end, children will have learned something special about a myriad of topics - from shapes and colors, to the world around them.

Each episode of Dos y Dos contains three to four musical performances. Beyond building interest and enthusiasm, the musical portions of the show help children learn key motor skills, including eye-hand coordination and multiple-step retention.

“Dos y Dos uses educational concepts fundamental to the development of toddlers and young children”, adds Company President, Everett Hernandez “Cultivating children’s imaginations is important to the creative team, and every episode takes advantage of the creativity found in each and every youngster”.

“We are thrilled to be working with such a high quality show for children”, says Hugo Rose, CEO of Televix Entertainment.

Dos y Dos made its television Debut in early October 2009, on the LATV network.  In May, 2010, the television series Debuted on the Telemundo Network in Puerto Rico, and in October, 2010 Dos y Dos is scheduled to begin airing across the United States on the Sorpresa! network.  Dos y Dos is also scheduled to air internationally in several countries, including Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia.

The 60-member team behind the creation of Dos y Dos includes television executives, educational consultants, and theater professionals.  Every episode of Dos y Dos is shot at the KPBS studios in San Diego, California, and overseen by translators from Colombia, Mexico and Los Angeles.   To learn more visit www.DosyDos.com
