Gruppo Alcuni announced that the hit series SLASH:// (26x20’) has just been picked up by Al Jazeera Children’s Channel for the MENA region.

Al Jazeera join the long list of broadcasters to have acquired the series including RTP, Canal Panda, Klub 100 and NOGA.

Aimed at a target audience of adventurous and inquisitive 7 to 12 year olds, SLASH:// tells of the adventures of a group of five youngsters from across the globe who, thanks to the magic power of a green stone, physically travel through the internet. They go up against the evil Cobra who is intent on stealing and destroying some of the most important works of art on the planet.

The series deals with themes such as Art, Music, Technology and Nature using laughter, suspense, intrigue and adventure. The story is very international indeed, with the 5 main characters coming from around the world and with episodes set in Florence, Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, London and Los Angeles.
