Liberty Livewire Pictures Group member R!OT Santa Monica will be integrating both artists and support staff from sister company 525 Studios. As a result, 525 Studios will curtail operations, effective by year's end. According to Liberty Livewire Pictures Group president Larry Chernoff, the move was designed to take advantage of R!OT’s existing infrastructure so further capital would not need to be invested to bring 525 Studios up to date as R!OT Santa Monica has a fully developed infrastructure for HD and Digital Data post-production and resources for visual effects production, computer animation and interactive media production. Adding similar resources to 525 Post Production would have been redundant, Chernoff said, and not in the best interests of the company, its staff or its clients.
