VANCOUVER, BC – Rainmaker Entertainment has entered into binding agreements for the studio’s next CG feature length animated film.

The soon-to-be announced film will be the newest CG animated feature film project for Rainmaker, following on the heels of the studio’s production of the hit Weinstein Company picture Escape from Planet Earth, which grossed $21.1 million dollars earning the film a spot in the top 4 overall for the President’s Day weekend.

“The financial closing for our next CG theatrical project further builds on the momentum of Rainmaker’s impressive launch into the feature film arena,” said Michael Hefferon, Rainmaker Entertainment President and Executive Producer. “We look forward to announcing the specifics of the project, which is expected to be the first of a slate of films to be produced by the company.”

Production on the newest Rainmaker CG feature is scheduled to begin March 4, 2013, with delivery scheduled for fall 2014.
