Rainmaker Ent. has announced its initial slate of animated features, reports VARIETY.

OGO follows a little girl's discovery of the Ogo- pogo monster of British Columbia's Lake Okangan. Former DreamWorks animator Jacob Medjuck will write and direct.

Oscar-winning animators Alison Snowden and David Fine will serve as consulting directors on an adaptation of COUNTRY BUNNY AND THE LITTLE GOLD SHOES, which was written by DuBose Heyward. Bernice Vanderlaan (LIFE WITH DEREK) will pen the screenplay.

Last year, the vfx and animation studio hired former Lucasfilm exec Catherine Winder to help them ramp up their feature animation production arm. The studio plans to have its first production done in two to three years and then release one film every 12 to 18 months.

Rainmaker is best known for producing the CG BARBIE direct-to-DVD series for Mattel.

What happened to Escape from Planet Earth? Surely, Rainmaker must have finished that a long time ago. I just know when it comes out, it will be the best animated movie of the year.

Isn't this the studio that's tried 4 times to make a feature film......I'll believe it when I see it.
