Columbia Pictures as moved the release date for bike messenger thriller PREMIUM RUSH, reports ComingSoon.net. David Koepp's film was set to ride into theaters on Jan. 13, 2012, but will now debut on Aug. 24.

Written by John Kamps and Keopp, the story follows a messenger who gets wrapped up in political intrigue when he is asked to deliver a sensitive package. The cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Shannon, Dania Ramirez and Jamie Chung.
