Nancy Cartwright Sued By Insurance Co.
TMZ reports that SIMPSONS voice actress Nancy Cartwright is being sued by the American Safety Casualty Insurance Company over a policy taken out in her former fiance's name.
In 2008, her then fiancé Stephen Brackett had received a construction job to fix up a restaurant. ASCIC claims it gave him a policy to cover that job with the caveat that if something went wrong Cartwright would pay ASCIC's costs. According to the lawsuit, Brackett finished half the job and "diverted contract funds" to the Church of Scientology. Later Brackett committed suicide and his company went bankrupt. ASCIC alleges Cartwright is responsible for the $260,000 it paid to complete the project.
