In a BD-Live chat for the TERMINATOR SALVATION Blu-ray, McG said he still expects to direct the fifth and sixth films for the franchise, GIZMODO reports.

The site goes on to point out that it's unclear how McG can be certain of his involvement considering the current owners won't have a say in upcoming films after an auction planned for the franchise rights closes early next year.

"Over the past few weeks, Halcyon and its professionals have engaged in in-depth discussions and negotiations with numerous serious potential buyers, including several major movie studios," Halcyon said.
