Michael Taylor has been named CEO of Rising Sun Pictures, VARIETY reports. The former Ascent Media & Digital Domain exec will oversee a multi-million growth plan for the studio, which might include opening another branch in Asia. Currently, the Australian firm produces around 750-1,000 vfx shot in a year. Rising Sun is hard at work on THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE and HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HOLLOWS.
