Meatballs Continues to Dominate Box Office

Dominating the box office during its second week, Sony's CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS brought in $24.6 million over the weekend, Sept. 25-27.

Buena Vista's SURROGATES came in a far-behind second, earning $15 million in its debut. At #3, FAME from MGM, earned $10 million in its debut. WB's THE INFORMANT dropped from second to fourth, collecting another $6.9 million.

Coming in at #5 was Tyler Perry's I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF, which brought in $4.75 million for Lionsgate. PANDORUM debuted at #6 for Overture, earning $4.4 million.

LOVE HAPPENS from Universal earned $4.3 million in the #7 slot, having dropped from the fourth position when it debuted the previous weekend. JENNIFER'S BODY from Fox earned $3.5 million in eighth, having dropped from fifth in its debut.

Focus earned $2.8 million with 9 at, you guessed it, the #9 slot. The Weinstein Company's INGLORIOUS BASTERDS rounded out the top ten with $2.72 in earnings, dropping from #7 the weekend prior.
