Lionsgate Amends Suit Against Icahn

Lionsgate has filed an amendment to its most recent lawsuit against its activist shareholder Carl Icahn, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lionsgate claims that Icahn was publicly denouncing Lionsgate's attempts to take over MGM, while simultaneously buying up MGM debt, which would have given him more control of a combined MGM Lionsgate if a deal ever did go through. Now the suit attacks Lionsgate's alternative slate of board members, which is set to be voted on at the Dec. 14th annual meeting.

Lionsgate is seeking full disclosure of Icahn Group's debt holdings in MGM and compensation for undermining the company's efforts to merge with MGM.

Icahn called the suit "completely without merit."
