Life of Pi Paddles Away from The Hobbit

What's worse than getting caught in the ocean on a raft with a Bengal tiger? Opening your film on the same weekend as the first HOBBIT film, I suppose. The Hollywood Reporter writes that 20th Century Fox has moved the release of Ang Lee's LIFE OF PI to avoid just that. PI will now hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2012, a week after THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY on Dec. 14.
