Latin American Broadcasters Add Some Salsa

Miami-based Latin American distribution outfit Salsa Entertainment has concluded several deals with leading broadcasters throughout the Latin American region. Puerto Rican broadcaster Telemundo has picked up the live-action/animation preschool series SALTY’S LIGHTHOUSE (40 x 30 min) from Sunbow Entertainment. Nicaraguan broadcaster Televicentro has acquired four animated series from the Salsa Entertainment catalogue -- the offbeat series CRAMP TWINS (26 x 30 min) from TV-Loonland, Sunbow Entertainment and Cartoon Network UK, ANGELA ANACONDA (65 x 30 min) from DECODE Entertainment, the preschool series MOPATOP’S SHOP (260 x 10 min) from Jim Henson Productions and the 3D CGI animated series JELLABIES (78 x 5 min) from Winchester Entertainment. Additionally, Compania Televisora in Honduras picked up the Emmy-nominated kids’ series CLIFFORD (40 x 30 min) from Scholastic Entertainment.
