Activist shareholder Carl Icahn made an unsolicited bid to up his stake and gain more control over Lionsgate, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

The studio said it will review his offer of $6 per share for more than 13 million more shares, effectively upping his stake from 18.9 percent to 29.9 percent.
