DreamWorks Animation To Open Shanghai Facility
DreamWorks Animation is working on opening a studio in Shanghai, reports Variety. The facility will produce films for the Chinese market. RSR Partners is engaged in recruitment for top exec posts.
This move would advance the company's move into the region. The animation firm has found success there with the KUNG FU PANDA franchise. DreamWorks recently signed an agreement with Youku.com to bring the films to online streaming in China.

Wow... First they build an outsource studio in INDIA. Now they're building an outsource studio in CHINA. I can see they are really concerned with Quality, and not Cost. Way to go Dreamworks. All under the disguise of "We're making content for foreign markets" Bullshit. You're laying off Artists in the United States and paying third world countries nickels and dimes to make piss-pour animated content.
Really disapointing Jeffery.
