Disney Channel Heads to Russia

Walt Disney Company is bringing the Disney Channel to Russia, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The company has bought 49% of Russia's SevenTV, which is available in 75% of Russian homes. The deal will greatly expand Disney's presence in the country. The channel will be re-branded the Disney Channel and will air a mix of Disney's American programming and Russian kid's shows. The Disney Channel is broadcast in 168 countries in 35 languages.
