Press release from Classic Media:

London, UK — Classic Media announced that it has completed a raft of new deals across Central & Eastern Europe, placing more than 350 hours of programming with Free & Pay TV, Home Entertainment and IPTV partners. These deals secure the presence of several titles across Classic Media’s diverse portfolio, including Tinga Tinga Tales, Postman Pat, Guess with Jess, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Voltron: Defenders of the Universe.

Recent key placements include several of Classic Media’s successful preschool series such as Tinga Tinga Tales and Guess with Jess, which have both been acquired in Hungary (MTVA) and Russia (Channel One Russia’s children’s channel, Karusel). Postman Pat continues to deliver to fans, now with complete coverage across all major markets in the region in addition to launches with Czech TV (Czech Republic) and Orlando Kids (Ex-Yugoslavia), while Nan and Lili and Little Red Tractor have both been acquired by Voxell across CIS.

New deals have also been secured for iconic cult hero series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She-Ra: Princess of Power and Voltron: Defenders of the Universe in Russia as part of 2x2 Channel’s retro slot. The channel has also acquired the CBBC’s comedy shorts, OOglies.

Our portfolio provides a wonderfully broad array of programming for everyone in the family and we are delighted to be able to secure such great platforms across this key region,” says Chloe van den Berg, EVP, International, Classic Media.
