Box Office: Ice Age 4 on Top with $46M

Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth installment in Fox’s prehistoric animated series, pushed Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man out of the top spot with a $46 million debut weekend. Overseas, the film grossed $95 million for an international total of $339 million and a worldwide total of $385 million. 

Spider Man shifted into second place this weekend, bringing in $35 million on its second weekend at the domestic box office for a total of $200.9 million. In international markets, Spider-Man brought in $661 million for an international total of $320.4 million and a worldwide total of $521.5 million.

In third place, Seth MacFarlane’s raunchy comedy Ted, starring Mark Wahlberg, picked up $22.1 million in its third week out for a total of $159 million.

Disney and Pixar’s Brave came in fourth place at the domestic box office, earning $10.7 million in its fourth weekend for a total of $195.6 million.

Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike held onto fifth place on its third weekend at the box office, earning $9 million for a total of $91.9 million.

Oliver Stone's drug drama Savages, which opened last weekend in fourth place with $16 million, moved down to sixth place with $8.7 million. The Universal release has collected $31.5 million to date.

In seventh place, Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection brought in $5.6 million in its third weekend out, bringing its total to $55.6 million.

Paramount's concert film, Katy Perry: Part of Me, which debuted last weekend at number eight, held on to that slot as it took in an additional $3.7 million, to bring its domestic total to $18.6 million.

Focus Features’ Moonrise Kingdom came in ninth place, earning $3.7 million for a total of $32.4 million.

Rounding out the list at number 10, DreamWorks Animation/Paramount's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted brought in $3.5 million on its sixth week at the domestic box office for a total $203.7 million.
