BBC Greenlights Guru's Dinopaws
Dinopaws (52 x 11), an international co-production between Impossible Kids (UK), Kindle Entertainment (UK) and Guru Studio (Canada) has been commissioned by UK kids channel CBeebies; the international CBeebies network (BBC Worldwide Channels) and Canadian children’s broadcaster Treehouse. BBC Worldwide has also picked up global television distribution rights (outside of the UK and Canada) and global merchandising rights.
Dinopaws went into production in December 2012 and is planned for delivery in Spring of 2014. The pre-school series is set to air in 2014 in Canada and the UK and on BBC Worldwide’s CBeebies channels across its six key markets – Poland, the Nordic region, Africa, Australia, Asia and the Latin American & US Hispanic markets.
This charming animated pre-school show features three young, charismatic dinosaurs named Bob, Gwen and Tony, whose boundless sense of curiosity always leads them on exciting and magical adventures. Each episode follows the dinosaurs on their discoveries, whether it’s a new friend, an important feeling or just a funny noise. An original concept created and developed by Alan Gilbey, Kindle Entertainment and Impossible Kids, together with Guru Studio, Dinopaws presents a world seen through the eyes of pre-schoolers: a place brimming with magic, wonder and endless possibilities.
Henrietta Hurford-Jones, Director of CBeebies Investment at BBC Worldwide comments “We continue to grow our international CBeebies Channels and our children’s portfolio worldwide and are really excited to partner with such strong and creative channels and producers.
