Avatars Stays On Top For Fourth Weekend

AVATAR maintained it's lead at the box office for the fourth consecutive week over the weekend, Jan. 8-10, raking in $50.3 million for Fox.

SHERLOCK HOLMES held on to its #2 spot as well, bringing in $16.6 million for Warner Bros. ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE SQUEAKQUEL earned nearly $16.6 million and held on to the #3 spot for Fox.

DAYBREAKERS from Lionsgate, earned $15.1 million and the #4 spot in its debut week. Universal's IT'S COMPLICATED brought in $11 million and the #5 spot. LEAP YEAR from Universal earned $9.2 million and the #6 spot. 

THE BLIND SIDE from Warner Bros. earned $7.5 million and the #7 spot over its eighth week in theaters. UP IN THE AIR from Paramount earned nearly $7.2 million and the #8 spot.

YOUTH IN REVOLT from Weistein Company earned nearly $6.9 million and the #9 spot. THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG from Buena Vista, rounded out the top ten, grossing $4.6 million in its seventh week in theaters.
