ARC Entertainment has picked up the U.S. rights to ContentFilm International's IRONCLAD, reports Deadline.com. Partnering with Barry Gordon's XLrator Media, ARC will release the film in June.

The medieval true-life tale follows a band of fighters who held off King John's army for months. Jonathan English directed and co-wrote the film with Erick Kastel and Stephen McDool. He produced with Mythic International Ent.'s Rick Benattar and Andrew Curtis.

The cast includes James Purefoy, Brian Cox, Derek Jacobi, Kate Mara, Paul Giamatti, Jason Flemyng, Jamie Foreman, Aneurin Barnar, Mackenzie Crook, Vladimir Kulich and Charles Dance.
