Apple Inc. is considering an acquisition of online streaming site Hulu, reports Bloomberg. Walt Disney Co., News Corp. and NBC Universal, which own the site, are offering any possible buyer two years of exclusive access to their content and a five-year extension of the current program rights. The estimated pricetag for Hulu is $2 billion.

Apple, which has not spent a great deal of money on acquisitions in the past, has recently agreed to pay $2.6 billion for a group buying the patents of Nortel Networks Corp. and is also considering buying InterDigital Inc., which is valued at $3.37 billion.

Hulu offers both advertising-supported free content and a premium subscription plan for $7.99 a month.

Apple head Steve Jobs is also the biggest shareholder in Disney.

Other companies interested in Hulu include Google, Yahoo and AT&T. Microsoft backed out of the bidding this week.

Hulu revenue outlooks for 2011 could be around $500 million.
