Bruno Bozzetto Receives ASIFA Award

Italian animator Bruno Bozzetto will be officially awarded the prestigious ASIFA Prize 2012 at this year’s Annecy Festival for outstanding achievements in the art of animation.

Bergamo, Italy – During the upcoming “Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy” Italian animator Bruno Bozzetto will be officially awarded the prestigious ASIFA Prize 2012 for the outstanding achievements in the art of animation.

Bozzetto is best known for his 1976 Fantasia parody movie Allegro Non Troppo, and his character Mr. Rossi, who appeared in various shorts films from 1960-1975.

The ASIFA Prize is awarded annually to individuals who have made a significant and innovative contribution towards the promotion and preservation of the art of animation.

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 13 in Annecy, France. For further details visit the Annecy Festival website.
