Bron Animation Ads to 'Mighty Monsters' Creative Team

Debbie Macdonald to serve as Creative Consultant; Members of indie rock band Broken Social Scene to handle music; Bezhad Mansoori-Dara joins as Director of Photography.

Bron Animation, the new division of Bron Studios that is producing the Mighty Mighty Monsters series of CG animated holiday television specials has added several key members to its creative team.

Debbie Macdonald, former CEO of Nickelodeon UK, is serving as a Creative Consultant on the Mighty Mighty Monsters specials, working directly with the creative and production leads providing guidance and direction. Macdonald is considered a key figure in the global children’s television industry with over 20 years of experience in public broadcasting and children’s programming. She has executive produced such award-winning series as “Peppa Pig,” “Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom,” “Humf,” “Nick News,” “Fifi & the Flowertots” and “Roary the Racing Car,” and is a frequent panelist at conferences including the upcoming MIPJunior in Cannes.

Bron Animation also announced that Kevin Drew and Ohad Benchetrit (also member of Do Make Say Think) will be handling the music for the Mighty Mighty Monsters specials. Drew is one of the co-founders of Broken Social Scene, a Canadian indie rock band, with Benchetrit contributing to some of its albums over the years. Film music credits for the band include Snow Cake, It's Kind of a Funny Story, The Tracey Fragments, Half Nelson, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and others. Film music credits for Benchetrit include Daydream Nation, Ghost Nation, The National Parks Project, Beauty Day and others.

Bron Animation adds further to the team with Bezhad Mansoori-Dara as Director of Photography for Mighty Mighty Monsters. Most recently with Pixar Canada, Mansoori-Dara served as the Lead Layout and Camera Artist on "Air Mater,” “Small Fry,” “Time Travel Mater,” and “Partysaurus.” While at Rainmaker Entertainment, Dara worked on the feature film Escape from Planet Earth, “Tony Hawk in Boom Boom Sabotage” and “Spiderman” the animated series.
