U.S. TV networks are interested in setting sail on London-based ITV Studios' four-part TITANIC miniseries, reports Deadline.com. Producer Simon Vaughn said he is in talks with both broadcast networks and cable channels about partnering on the project.
Julian Fellowes (DOWNTON ABBEY) will pen the production, which will deal with the class divides between first class passengers and steerage guests.
ITV will co-produce with Canada's CanWest Global Communications and Ireland's TV3.
ITV plans to have the project ready for the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic in April 2012.
