Bristol School of Animation Offers Three Month Animation Course

The University of the West of England's Bristol School of Animation presents its "Three Month Animation Professional Training Course" from June 25 -- Sept. 7, 2007. The deadline for applications is April 6. A second session will run from Oct. 1 -- Dec. 14, 2007, with a deadline for applications of July 6.

This "Three Month Animation Course" is specifically designed to enhance and develop the professional potential of professional, or graduate animators. Based on an understanding of production, design and direction, the course focuses on core craft skills and techniques associated with character animation. Students work intensively in either 2D or 3D (model or clay) animation techniques. Students study performance, timing, staging, character development, sound, life drawing and movement, as a means of perfecting their skills in preparation for working in the audio-visual industry.

Bristol School of Animation is also announced its annual storyboarding competition for 2007, in conjunction with Aardman Animations Ltd., with support from MEDIA and ToonBoom (deadline for applications March 9, 2007).
