Recently, Brilliant Digital Entertainment has launched their Multipath Digital Projector for the Macintosh. Brilliant also plans to integrate its Digital Projector technology into Apple's forthcoming QuickTime 5 player as a downloadable, integrated QuickTime component. "We believe that our ability to integrate the Digital Projector technology with the Mac platform will provide even greater creative options for artists, as well as compelling new media experiences for consumers," said Kevin Bermeister, president of Brilliant. "The Brilliant Digital Projector is the premier technology for storytelling and real-time 3D character animation over the Web. The strong capabilities of Mac OS X and Apple's solid technology offerings to creative artists and the entertainment industry make the Brilliant Digital Projector a natural fit for the Mac, whose users have been at the forefront of adopting groundbreaking technologies." Frank Casanova, Apple's director of QuickTime product marketing, said, "Apple's QuickTime is the best technology for streaming high-quality audio and video. Brilliant's Digital Projector offers an impressive library of episodic 3D content available over the Internet, and we are thrilled to welcome this product to the Mac." Macintosh users will be able to view popular characters like Superman, KISS, Xena and Ace Ventura. Brilliant Digital recently announced that it will be focusing on bringing its 3D Web software into the music video and advertising industries.
