Cambridge, MA -- Boston Festival of Indie Games announced this year’s line-up of sponsors and partners featuring game industry companies, media outlets and organizations whose contributions support the festival this fall. Sponsors include Microsoft, Unity, Adobe, and Unreal Technology. Media and organization partners include The Boston Globe, Comcast and Entertainment Consumers Association. Boston Festival of Indie Games will take place on Saturday, September 14 on the MIT campus.

“We are thrilled to expand the BostonFIG family through stellar new and returning partnerships for the 2013 festival,” said Fiona Cherbak, festival co-producer and marketing chair. “As an all-volunteer, non-profit festival, we couldn’t make this event happen without the generous contributions of our sponsors and partners. We are truly thankful for the outpouring of support the festival has received!”

Contributions of sponsors help the festival cover the costs of event space, marketing materials and more. Title sponsors include Unreal Technology and Unity. Gold sponsors include Adobe, Guidebook, IndieGameStand, Microsoft, Muzzy Lane and Scirra. Additional sponsors include CritSuccess, GitHub, MocoSpace, Proletariat, HappyGiant, Mindgrub and The Unallied. More sponsors will be added in the months leading up to the festival.

The festival has partnered with notable Boston-based media outlets to help spread the word about the upcoming festival. Media partners include Comcast, The Boston Globe, CBS Radio / AMP 103.3, DIGBoston, and Yelp!, who are providing TV, radio, print and online advertising support.

The festival's game industry organization partners include Entertainment Consumers Association, Boston Indies, Boston Post Mortem, Boston Unity Group (B.U.G.), the Massachusetts Digital Games Institute (MassDiGI), Autodesk Animation User Group Association of Boston (AAUGA), and the Boston HTML 5 Game Developers Group. The 2nd annual Boston Festival of Indie Games will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Stratton Student Center and the Johnson Athletic Center on the MIT campus.
