Gloria Borders joins DreamWorks Animation as head of PDI/DreamWorks, the studios Redwood City, California, campus. Borders is taking over for Patti Burke, who transitions into a senior consultant role at the company. Borders will oversee all production and operations at PDI/DreamWorks.
Gloria is the perfect person to take on the challenge of heading PDI/DreamWorks, said Ann Daly, DreamWorks Animation coo. Shes an entertainment industry standout with more than 20 years of experience and I am confident that she will be a tremendous asset in the growth of our company.
Borders was head of post-production fro Revolution Studios since 2000. Prior to that, she spent several years at Skywalker Sound as vp/gm. While at Skywalker, she won an Academy Award in sound effects editing for her work on TERMINATOR 2, and received an Academy Award nomination for her work as supervising sound editor on FORREST GUMP.
A company statement said Borders hiring was prompted by Burkes decision to step down as head of PDI/DreamWorks. Burke assumes a more flexible consulting role to allow her to spend more time with her family. In her new position, Burke will work on select, high-priority projects for the company.
Patti has done a remarkable job as head of PDI/DreamWorks, Daly said. I know she will continue to be influential to the company as she shifts her attention to other key initiatives.

Glendale, California-based DreamWorks Animation (www.dreamworksanimation.com) is principally devoted to developing and producing computer-generated feature films. The company has theatrically released a total of nine animated feature films.
