Press Release from Warner Premiere

Burbank, Calif., April 29, 2010 – Warner Premiere’s eighth Motion Comics series Jonah Hex (Rated: TV Mature), which blends the ferocity of the Old West with elements of the supernatural, comes to life today.  Based on the comic book written by John Albano, drawn by artist Tony DeZuniga, and published by DC Comics, Jonah Hex Motion Comics takes viewers back to a time when greed, lust and lawlessness ruled the land.  Jonah Hex Motion Comics are being created by the award-winning studio Sequence Post that previously created the Batman: Black & White Motion Comics series.  Jonah Hex Motion Comics are now available on the iTunes Store (http://bit.ly/dAduix) (www.itunes.com) and other online digital distributors (http://amzn.to/abP64X).  The Jonah Hex comic also inspired the upcoming motion picture of the same name from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, coming to theaters nationwide on June 18, 2010.

“Warner Premiere Motion Comics are taking the casual comic book fan deeper into the pages of these amazing stories and giving fans a new way to experience timeless comic books and graphic novels,” said Eva Davis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Warner Premiere.  “Jonah Hex Motion Comics are a great way for fans to prime themselves for the upcoming theatrical release. The voice acting by Jim Cummings and the rich artwork by Sequence Studio will really make fans feel like they’re in the heat of battle with Jonah.”

Jonah Hex Motion Comics is an all-new collection of archival comics featuring Jonah Hex, the ruthless bounty hunter with a conscience.  Now three of his legendary stories have been brought to life, page-by-page, and told in seven extraordinary episodes. The first five episodes are adapted from the graphic novel Two Gun Mojo, telling the action-packed story of Jonah Hex seeking justice and revenge against Doc Williams and his gang when a friend is murdered.  The Gunfighter and The Hangin’ Woman are two additional stories from the popular 1970’s comic series featuring the notorious gunslinger, re-colored and animated for the first time.

Jim Cummings, the versatile voice actor known for his many roles in animated productions takes on the voice of Jonah Hex, the no-holds-barred, rough gunslinger.  Other characters are voiced by Steve Blum, Bill Farmer, Maurice LaMarche, Lani Manella, Colleen O'Shaughnessey and Mick Wingert.

Jonah Hex Motion Comics will be cross-promoted with the Jonah Hex theatrical release in theaters on June 18.  Availability of The Motion Comics will be called out on theatrical one-sheets in over 3,000 movie theaters, on the official theatrical website and an exclusive sneak peek will be featured prominently on the packaging for the NECA Jonah Hex action figures for sale at Toys R Us and other specialty retailers.

Jonah Hex Motion Comics are now available on iTunes, Amazon Video on Demand, Xbox Live / Zune Market Place and the PlayStation Network on a per episode basis or via a season pass subscription which delivers episodes to customers as soon as they become available.

Continuing to lead the Motion Comics experience, Warner Premiere’s Motion Comics connect comic fans to authentic DC characters through short-form content.  The Motion Comics slate draws on a deep reservoir of source material to bring a visually engaging experience to life through the use of subtle movements, voice-overs, sweeping music scores and stunning comic book artwork.
