Alexander Payne (SIDEWAYS) is circling Fox Searchlight's adaptation of Dan Clowes' graphic novel WILSON, reports Deadline.com. Payne's producing partner and Stars Road's Josh Donen are the producers.

Clowes previously adapted his own graphic novels GHOST WORLD and ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL (which was part of the anthology novel EIGHTBALL) into films with Terry Zwigoff.

WILSON follows a dogmatic, dog-loving, middle-aged loser who goes on a quest to reconnect with his ex-wife.
