Lorenzo di Bonaventura is set to produce a new film franchise based on Michael Scott's YA fantasy series, THE SECRETS OF THE IMMORTAL NICHOLAS FLAMEL, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
Three books in the planned six-book series have been published by Delacorte Press. The story follows 15-year-old twins Sophie and Josh Newman who team up with immortal alchemist Nicholas Flamel on globetrotting adventures.
Scott and Barry Krost will exec produced.
Previously, SURVIVOR producer Mark Burnett was attached to the project when it was set up at New Line.
