Emily Blunt has joined the cast of sci-fi thriller LOOPER, reports Variety. She will star opposite Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Rian Johnson (BRICK) will pen the script and helm.
The story centers on murderers who transport the corpses of their victims back in time to hide their crimes. Blunt takes the role of a single mom who must save her son.
Ram Bergman and Endgame Entertainment's James D. Stern and Doug Hansen are the producers. Endgame is funding the flick. FilmNation will rep international sales.
Production will take place in Louisiana starting in January.
