Blitz Digital Promotes Three Staffers

With an eye on a robust slate of current and future client activity, rapidly expanding Blitz Digital Studios (DS), a leading interactive marketing agency based in North Hollywood, California, has elevated three staff members and brought on board two creatives.Ian Burns has recently been promoted from art director to creative director and Robert Gale from senior designer to art director. Both come from Media Revolution, where they were responsible for designing projects, including the SPIDER-MAN Website for Sony Pictures, Fox Televisions THE X-FILES and DreamWorks SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON.

In his new post at Blitz DS, Burns is involved with multiple projects, including the development of GEs Imagination at Work destination Website, as well as other GE projects and numerous projects for clients such as Microsoft, Atari, Ubi Soft Entertainment and LucasArts.

Gale has lead art direction and designed many projects for Blitz DS clients such as the STAR WARS GALAXIES: AN EMPIRE DIVIDED official game Website and media campaign for LucasArts, THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING interactive CD-ROM for New Line Cinema and Dell as well as multiple games and Website projects for GE.

Tim Pixton has also been promoted from lead animator to producer. Pixton not only produces and manages many projects, but also is a multi-disciplinary animator of 2D/3D and is proficient in a variety of styles, programs and applications.

Projects Pixton has been involved with at Blitz DS include the STAR WARS GALAXIES: AN EMPIRE DIVIDED official game Website and media campaign for LucasArts, multiple online games for Warner Bros. brands such as LOONEY TUNES and DC Comics BATMAN and GREEN LANTERN and THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING interactive CD-ROM for New Line Cinema and Dell.

Pixton came to Blitz from animation house Unbound Studios, where he served as an animation director and worked on the television pilots TIME BOYZ for MTV / Jersey Films and THE HUB for Discovery Kids.

Roger Obando has recently joined Blitz DS as a senior developer, where he has developed solutions for clients, including GE and Ubi soft Ent. Obando comes from Sapient Corp. (SAPE), where he played the role of engineer. During his time at Sapient he worked in their Chicago, New York, London and Los Angeles offices, where he designed and developed Internet solutions from design stage through completion. Some notable clients he worked with include Nissan USA, Deutsch Bank and Lucent Technologies.

Rounding out the companys expansion, John Grden has also joined Blitz as a senior developer coming from Zing, a content destination Website and developer of proprietary, Flash-based 3D technology. At Zing, Grden was lead flash developer and has also served as a technical editor for multiple books published about Flash. Grden is currently involved with many Blitz clients, including projects for LucasArts and The Sci FI Channel.
