BlinkBox Goes Online

BlinkBox, a service that permits the legal sharing of clips from films and TV shows, has launched a beta site, C21 MEDIA reports. Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, Paramount, Aardman and Discovery are among those providing content for the site.

BlinkBox was co-founded by former AtomFilms exec Michael Comish and Adrian Letts, former head of content services at Vodafone Group. MTV Networks digital chief and AtomFilms founder Mika Salmi and Adam Valkin, partner at Arts Alliance, sit on the company's board, along with Charles Grimsdale, partner and founder at Eden Ventures, and Laurence McDonald, general partner at Nordic Venture Partners. Former AtomFilms employee and William Morris exec Doug Davis is director of acquisitions.

Among the content included for the initial launch is THE MATRIX, SUPERMAN RETURNS and HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.
