Press Release from Blind

The deep roster of talent represented by Blind is about to get even better with the signing of Three Legged Legs and CD Matthew Encina, both protégés of Blind founder/ECD Chris Do. Encina will join Blind's roster, while the company will provide representation, management assistance, production support and creative support for Three Legged Legs.

Three-Legged Legs, which consists of Casey Hunt, Greg Gunn and Reza Resoli, is a versatile group of artists who have used an immersive process to build a client roster that includes AT&T, Activision, Amp Energy Drink, Amp'd Mobile, Chrysler, GE, Havaianas, McDonald's, Microsoft Zune, NASCAR, ooVoo, Slim Jim, Sony Vaio, Sprint, Starbucks, Vizio, and Wrigley. The team has just delivered a Monster.com project for BBDO, with additional projects in the queue.

The trio has impressed Blind's Do since he was their teacher at Otis College of Art Design in 2005. "Over the past five years or so, Chris has kind of been our undercover business advisor, so we've had this long-running relationship with him about creativity in business and thinking ahead," noted Gunn. "There's an immediate trust level there. So when the time came to re-think and re-brand ourselves, coming to Blind was a natural move. Immediately we've felt an awesome sense of community and that this was a giant creative beast, stocked with smart and like-minded people who can help us evolve."

Encina, who has freelanced extensively for Blind in the past, is known for his passion for storytelling and his creative and engaging visuals. He has been involved in all stages of the creative process, from design to animation to direction and has already done work for KIA, Bissell, Swiffer and pitched on numerous other projects. His reel includes work for Worst Case Scenario, Bright House Networks, Thunder Valley Casino, United States of Tara, Target, NBC, American Airlines, Toyota and America's Next Top Model.

Encina also spent time under Do's tutelage, at the Art Center College of Design. "I've been trying to find a place to call my home, and after being at a lot of different shops and meeting a lot of different people, Blind just stood out," stated Encina. "This was partly because of my relationship with Chris, but also because they have a very particular formula that aligns perfectly with everything from my lifestyle to my creative work, so it's a very natural place to settle down. Joining at the same time as Three Legged Legs, I feel part of a cultural realignment within the company. I think the creative energy coming out of this place is really spectacular."

"At Blind, we're always trying to reinvent ourselves, to maintain relevance in an evolving design landscape. Both Matthew and Three Legged Legs bring a completely different aesthetic sensibility and approach to their work, as well as a different attitude than anything we currently have," noted Blind EP Dave Kleinman. "Chris Do is especially good at nurturing new talent, and we're very excited about guiding and managing each of them as they build their careers."
