Bicoastal Blind is pleased to announce the hiring of highly regarded CG Supervisor Hatem Ben Abdallah, a Paris native who has worked in interactive entertainment and visual effects for more than a decade. A renowned creative artist adept at finding and delivering VFX solutions that expertly illustrate and enhance a director's vision, Hatem significantly bolsters Blind's capabilities in the creative realm. Able to navigate the production spectrum from commercials and films to design, Hatem is expert in lighting, textures, shading, modeling, compositing, matte-painting, real-time, and designs. His mastery of software includes Maya, V-Ray, mental ray, After Effects, Shake, boujou, PFTrack, Elastic Reality, Syflex, 3ds Max and Photoshop.

"We've been searching for some time for a CG supervisor/technical director to push our teams in expanding their creative boundaries," noted Blind EP Dave Kleinman. "Hatem is it. He's a visionary and an artist of the highest caliber. We're thrilled to have him working with us."

Hatem's highly regarded recent ad work includes the kaleidoscopic, Telly Award-winning Pepsi Throwback; the beautiful Target Meadow; the hilarious Sprint Nextel Wedding; the artful Energizer Space Station; and the fantastical Coca-Cola/AMC Magic Chairs. His extensive client list also includes AT&T, Lexmark, Acura, Hyundai, Kawasaki, Kia, DirecTV, Toyota, Honda, Mountain Dew, Canon, Cadillac, MasterCard, Microsoft, PlayStation and Verizon. In the feature film world, Hatem has acted as senior CGI VFX artist for major motion pictures The Ring and The Weather Man.

"I think Blind is going to be a great fit," stated Hatem. "I've long admired their work, their aesthetic sense, and their open attitude that says creatives should be allowed to create unrestrained. When they described the role to me, I didn't hesitate - they were describing my dream job. I'm looking forward to working closely with their team and putting out some awesome work in the very near future."

Prior to joining Blind in 2010, Abdallah spent time at Method, Moving Pixels, Radium/Reel FX, among other noted studios.
