Blackmagic Design Has New President

Dan May has been hired as president of Blackmagic Design Inc. May joins Blackmagic as the company begins the re-location of its U.S. corporate headquarters to Milpitas, California. All operations currently handled by the Las Vegas, Nevada, office will be transferred to the Milpitas office. Blackmagic Design manufactures the highest quality video cards and converters for the post-production and television broadcast industries.

Our move to the Silicon Valley from Nevada is an extremely exciting opportunity for us and will enable us to have stronger ties with our alliance partners, said Grant Petty, ceo, Blackmagic Design. We welcome Dan to the team and are confident his talent and strong sales skills will enable us to move forward and into new markets and opportunities.

May comes to Blackmagic Design from Inlet Technology, where he helped to establish the company as a leader in high-quality advanced encoding solutions. Prior to his position with Inlet, May was responsible for sales and distribution channels for Canopus's video technology solutions. May is a frequent contributor at industry forums and on panels, sharing his vast technical knowledge. He received his Bachelor's Degree from San Jose State University.
