Blacklist Director Flying V Wins ADC Gold

Blacklist director, Flying V, wins ADC Gold Award for Havas Worldwide’s new title sequence.

Blacklist director Flying V won a Gold Award for Design at the 92nd ADC Annual Awards Festival, recently held in Miami, Florida.  Flying V is part of Wizz Design in Paris, and is represented in the US by Blacklist.

The Parisian duo took home the award for their work on Havas Worldwide’s new title sequence entitled, Best Wishes from Paris. The stylish black and white film takes viewers through 23 celebrated locations in Paris, using clever typographic animation of famous French logos.

“Havas Worldwide Paris contacted us with the main concept,” said Gary Levesque of Flying V. “They wanted us to represent the most interesting places in Paris using well known French trademarks, inspired by what makes each area unique.”

The team collaborated closely with Havas to come up with interesting animated logos and other imagery, and then employed clever transitions to put it all together. They kept the spot monochromatic, in order to evoke a nostalgic sense of the famous city.
