Bionatics ships EASYnat with Discreet’s 3ds max 6

Bionatics has announced the signing of a partnership with Discreet to bundle its EASYnat software with 3ds max 6. As part of the deal, all 3ds max 6 will be integrated with the EASYnat growth engine, shipped with a basic library of four plants. The plant library can then be increased through the Bionatics Website.

The partnership signed between Bionatics and Discreet on the 3ds max 6 product, shows a common desire to propose to architects and the visualization community accessible tools for modeling and simulation, from a technological perspective and adaptable to their production and visualization constraints, said Stéphane Gourgout, co-founder and commercial director at Biontics. Our partnership with Discreet is a real plus for our EASYnat product because it allows us access to the largest community user base in the 3D industry.

EASYnat is the 3D plant generator dedicated to the AEC market. It allows the users to automatically model a plant in 3D, 2D or 2D1/2, using a new hybrid modeling technology, which combines 2D and 3D elements together. This solution allows the creation of a plant in 3D with a minimum of polygons and a maximum of realism. There are 300+ virtual seeds available.

Additional plants may be purchased online for $60 per plant. Plants may also be purchased in multiples of 10, with discounts offered depending on the quantity chosen. Prices may be found at www.easynat.com.

Bionatics is a world leader in the technology of simulation and modeling of plants. The company develops a complete lineup of solutions for the following industries: architecture, videogame, 3D animation and the creation of synthetic images for virtual reality.
