Billboard Digital Entertainment Conference Kicks Off

On Nov. 4, 2004, at UCLA's Tom Bradley International Center, The Billboard Digital Entertainment Conference kicked off. Sponsored by BILLBOARD magazine, in association with DIGITAL MEDIA WIRE, the event hopes to honor and explore innovation, entrepreneurship and brand development in digital entertainment.

With awards in 30 categories honoring achievements involving games, music and film, television and video, BILLBOARD recognizes the developments and forward thinkers shaping the future of entertainment. This is a two-day event with panels and keynotes on Thursday and Friday.

In the Best Use of Technology in a Feature Film or Film-related Project, the nominees include SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL, SPIDER-MAN 2 and POLAR EXPRESS.

The Billboard Digital Entertainment Awards Gala Dinner will be held from 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm on Nov. 5, 2004 in the Grand Horizon Ballroom, UCLA Covel Commons at Sunset Village. A full list on nominees can be viewed at www.digitalentertainmentawards.com/finalists.html.
