Bill Plympton has created an original holiday special for Cartoon Network entitled 12 Tiny Christmas Tales. It premieres on Cartoon Network Friday, December 7, 2001 at 8:30 pm (ET/PT) and will repeat on December 8th at 7:30 pm and December 21st at 9:30 pm. For additional air times visit www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv/schedule.html. The stories are based on 8-panel sequences from Bill Plympton's hand-drawn Christmas cards. Bill started drawing Christmas stories for his parents' holiday cards in 1964 and continued the practice after becoming an animator. The original music for 12 Tiny Christmas Tales was composed by Maureen McElheron and Hank Bones. Maureen and Hank have collaborated with Bill in the past, recently composing music for his feature film Mutant Aliens.

Bill Plympton offers a preview of Mutant Aliens, with a 3-minute sinewy trailer (for mature audiences only!), and shares his thoughts on the making of the film, from story concept to the film's selection at Sundance.

The English version of the 188-page black and white comic book that served as the storyboard for Mutant Aliens is available in the AWN Store along with a wide selection of Plympton videos, books and other merchandise.
