Jessica Biel has been offered one of the female leads in Sony Pictures's TOTAL RECALL remake, reports Variety. The two big female roles include the lead character's wife Lori and Martian rebel Melina. Colin Farrell and Bryan Cranston are already in the cast.
In the new version, Douglas Quaid (Farrell) is a factory worker who begins to believe he might be a spy for either Euromerica or New Shanghai after he visits a company that implants false memories in a person's mind. Cranston takes the part of Euromerica leader Vilos Cohaagen who is planning a secret invasion of New Shanghai. The story is based on Philip K. Dick's WE CAN REMEMBER IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE.
Len Wiseman is directing with Neal H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe producing. Mark Bomback and James Vanderbilt penned the script.
